Set in a beautiful lush garden, this guesthouse accommodates guests in the rondavels as well as in an elegant old sandstone house that was built 1946.

Situated along the Maloti Drakensberg Route, this is an innovative initiative that spans the borders between South Africa and the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. Bird Haven positions you en route to the Katse Dam, which is the engineering marvel of the country, with various nature reserves and cultural heritage sites in the neighbouring area. Bird Haven enables you to live not only an adventure, but more an experience of one of the most scenic areas and villages within our untamed mountain landscapes.

    The swimming pool was a lovely refresher after a long day of travelling. The breakfast was really tasty. The scones were amazing. The outside seating created a really nice atmosphere while we ate dinner.

    The host Lerato, was very friendly and welcoming. Thandi gave great advise on some local attractions to visit and she is a well of information when coming to information about Lesotho as a whole... If you do stay at Bird Haven you must try the trout on their menu absolutely Devine. The e tire staff was just amazing we really enjoyed our stay.
